Last Saturday we shared 5 of our favorite dry erase busy bag ideas. Today, we’re sharing some of our favorite play-dough busy bags activities.
All of these activities involve free printables and play-dough so they are very easy on the budget.
Make sure you laminate the pages or slide them into page protectors so you can reuse them! Also be sure to cut the pages down to fit into the zip-top bag before laminating them.
I’m just starting to get over my play-dough phobia so we’ve only tried a few of these ideas ourselves…the rest have been added to my to-do list 🙂
Number Mats
We have this set from Amanda @ First Grade Garden. (Scroll down, the link to the free printable is with Station #6, but be sure to check out all the other great math ideas!

Our toddler and preschooler prefer rolling tiny balls and pressing them all along the lines of the numbers while our kindergartner would rather roll long snakes to make each number. Since play-dough is involved, this activity spans a wide age range.
I also really like the looks of these play-dough number mats from Making Learning Fun.
Counting Mats
Karen @ Prekinders has several counting mats that could easily be made into a busy bag.

I am working on connecting Busy Bag ideas to the common core standards- they are so hard to read- but I am bound and determined to make them simple. Feedback appreciated
I’ve seen lots of busy bag ideas but never ones with play dough. Great idea! I’d love to have you link this us to Titus 2 Tuesday this week on Cornerstone Confessions.. I hope to see you there.
