Today’s post is less of a how-to and more of a general encouragement that our children can do more than society normally gives them credit for. Our children are capable of being a real help to us and an asset in our homes, even at a very young age.
Our kids love to help in the kitchen! Do yours?
Last year we started teaching our kids to make our standard breakfast of scrambled eggs and green smoothies. I talk more about why in this post (it’s a good read and tells about a great resource that encouraged us to give our children more responsibilities around the house).
Here’s the outcome of our training–our then three-year-old making scrambled eggs. Over a year later she still enjoys making breakfast and, at four-and-a-half, can do it entirely on her own!
