Simple Summer Fun

I know summer’s getting close when I start to see the summer bucket lists flood my Pinterest stream 🙂

Have you seen them too?

I’m definitely not against prioritizing and making a plan, but I want to offer some encouragement to everyone who may not be adding extravagant activities to the summer schedules.

Aside from seemingly popular belief, kids can still enjoy a summer with a sprinkler or hose, a few creative toys, some simple crafts, and stacks of books.

In case you’re looking for some no-fuss activities to help keep your kids from the dreaded B word this summer (you know, B-ored), be sure to check out my Simple Summer Fun for Kids board on Pinterest.

My friend, Kristin (from Bits and Pieces from My Life) and I joined together last year to find fun ideas that wouldn’t stress us out. Kristin is a mom of 5 and I have 6 little ones, so SIMPLE is what we’re looking for.

Make sure you follow our board to see all the great ideas we’ll share all summer long.

What simple activities are you looking forward to doing with your kids? What activities are they most looking forward to?

If u have a brick wall or a outside wall let the kids draw a mural with sidewalk chalk. It will wash off so no problem. We do this almost every summer on my brick wall. The kids love doing it with their parents or Grandma like me.

My kids so look forward to riding their bikes and going camping! They are even more frugal than I am sometimes, I tell you. They absolutely hate going to the mall and spending for the movies. Not that I am complaining, though. :))
