This month-long series is going to be all about simple ways to teach your kids. From teaching them where to put their dirty socks to teaching them to read and (a little of) everything in between.
Throughout it all the theme will be simple learning and how we as parents can learn along the way as we discover what works for our own kids and family. [tweetherder]Life is complicated enough already. Teaching little ones does not have to be.[/tweetherder]
Do you have little ones at home? I have a whole bunch! In fact, I have six kids ages 7 years and under. Yes, you read that right.
As I’m typing this, I’m nursing the 5 week old, while the 14 month old, 3 year old, and 4 1/2 year old fall asleep listening to an audio drama. My 6 year old and 7 year old are at club meetings with my husband and won’t be home for another hour. This is a typical Tuesday night at our house.
Here’s the whole gang…
Over the past seven years, my husband, Tim and I have slowly developed systems that work for us including systems to teach our children. Through the month of October I’m going to share about the simple ways we teach our kids without spending hours planning and preparing, because let’s face it, “we ain’t got time for that!”
I’ll share what has worked for our family and what things we’ve had to tweak. I’ll also share some straight up mistakes or Mom Confessions in order to keep it real and hopefully help someone avoid the same mistakes.
Sometimes I’ll definitely be preaching to the choir as I navigate this parenting journey myself so I hope the comments will be a place of discussion where we can ask questions, share ideas, and encourage one another.
And I’ll try to keep all my posts short and simple partly because I don’t have a lot of time to blog (that is if I still want a little sleep) and partly because I know you’re busy too.
I hope you’ll join me on this journey and be blessed along the way! You can also check out all the other 31 days series here. (Feel free to leave a link in the comments if you’re writing your own 31 days series.)
